Red Wine Tenuta di Arceno Chianti Classico Riserva 2018. It is recommended to decant it for an hour. Located in Tuscany, among the hills of Chianti Classico, the Tenuta di Arceno is surrounded by about 90 hectares of vineyards at an altitude between 300 and 450 meters. The composition of the soil consists of clay, granite, and basalt. This type of soil is ideal for viticulture as it facilitates drainage and reflects the heat of the sun to the plant, helping the grapes to ripen. Alongside the original vineyards, new plants were added in the 1990s, thus resulting in more than 60 different plots. Most of these are made up of Merlot, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah. The density in the vineyards is over 5000 plants per hectare with a reduced yield of 6.7 tons. The wine shows a bright and intense ruby red color. The nose alternates seductive tones of wild berries jam, to the deeper ones of undergrowth, with resinous traits and hints of oriental spices. In the mouth, it shows a rich but elegant texture. It is fresh and full, with dense and ripe tannins. The finish is persistent with savory-spicy notes. Excellent with pappardelle with wild boar, Florentine steak, and aged cheeses.
