Red Wine Chronic Cellars Suite Petite 2019. This fun and vivacious Petite Syrah is bursting with luscious cassis, black cherry and blackberry along with a silky smooth texture and refined tannins. The rich, full-bodied profile is matched by a firm structure and long spicy finish with hints of freshly-cracked black pepper which makes this a great match for flavoursome barbecued meats or hearty pasta dishes like spaghetti bolognese. Chronic Cellars was founded in 2004 by Josh and Jake Beckett who decided to combine their winemaking passion and talent to turn top quality or chronic” grapes into delicious wines. The two brothers grew up in Paso Robles in a winemaking family so their formative years were spent washing down barrels and putting in hours on the bottling line. This hard work sparked a love of viticulture which drives their new project forward today. The Chronic Cellars philosophy centres around using the best of everything. Thanks to their local connections, the brothers can get their hands on the very finest Paso Robles grapes which Josh carefully selects for his lively blends. The duo have also teamed up with their childhood friend whose talented artwork graces their bold label designs.

Red Wine Tua Rita Rosso Dei Notri 2019. Since its humble beginnings with just one hectare of vines, Tua Rita has blossomed into a top producer of exquisite Super Tuscans which are lauded by wine critics and collectors all over the globe. The Rosso Dei Notro is one of their younger wines which offers a delicious fresh and fruity style ideal for everyday enjoyment. Crafted from 50% Sangiovese and 50% Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah, the grapes for this stunning blend are sourced from the estate’s vineyards in the foothills of the Tuscan hilltop town of Suvereto. The grapes are carefully transported to the winery where they are vinified and aged in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels for three months. This vivacious and youthful wine opens with a bright ruby hue in the glass and evocative aromas of sweet dark fruit, dried violets, and sun-baked earth. The first sip reveals a refreshing acidity, fine tannins, and abundant dark berry flavours complemented by hints of cocoa, smoky tobacco, and licorice. The vibrant flavour profile of this wine makes it an ideal choice to drink now alongside a platter of charcuterie or a generous dish of fresh pasta served with a bright tomato sauce.
Red Wine David Sterza Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso 2019. Decant up to 2 hours. A classic Valpolicella blend of Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella. There are even historical documents revealing that ancient Romans loved this style of wine. It is intense ruby red in color, bursting with ripe fruit, cherry, and blackberry with warm spices of cloves, nutmeg, and ginger (a trademark of all Valpolicella wine) and hints of pipe tobacco. The palate explodes with cassis, raspberry, and warm spices with bitter tertiary notes under the wet and persistent heat. It is full-bodied with a slight sapidity typical of Valpolicella Classico Superiore wines. The finish is bold and spicy with juicy red fruit, pipe tobacco, smoke and spices that linger on like an afterthought. This robust red should be cellared for at least the next six months and up to the next 10 years.
